What is product market fit?

The term product / market fit was first used by Marc Andreesen.

Essentially this refers to finding a market for a product.

You’ve either developed a digital product which taps into an existing market or you are defining and growing a new audience. The future users of your product may recognise that your product solves a problem for them but they may not recognise the solution – for digital products this can often involve a technology which is completely new to users.
